Story:

This is another Millennium tie-in. A team made up of Dr. Fate, Katma Tui, Superman, Hawkman, Hawkwoman, J'onn, Arisia, Hal Jordan, Captain Atom, and Firestorm sit waiting above the planet Orinda. As they wait there to attack the Manhunters, Firestorm is acting very distant and takes off into space alone and silent. Captain Atom goes after him.
Unable to wait for their return, the remaining heroes take off to attack. They arrive on the planet to find that everytrhing is yellow, incdluding a yellow dust in the air. This renders the Green Lanterns' reings powerless. Superman drills into the planet to reveal the Manhunters' underground compound and tunnels. They enter to find them quite deserted and soon run across G'nort aho explains that he has been lost in the tunnels for some time. He is unaware of the Manhunters. Hal explains that G'nort is an idiot who was only made a member of the Green Lantern Corps because his uncle was a very infuential member.
They eventually find the Manhunters, and ,through a surprise attack, manage to decimate most of their forces. They then come across a "birthing chamber" where a large "Overseer" is about to give birth to a whole new batch of Manhunters, but, before it can, Superman destroys them all with his heat vision. The Overseer, however, gets away, saying it will create another world. Without the Overseer, the world falls apart, but the heroes make it out in time and meet up with Captain Atom and Firestorm, now accompanied by Harbinger and Driq.

Story: Giffen & DeMatteis            Art: Giffen &Gordon
At the Green Lantern Corps HQ on Earth, Blue Beetle and Mister Miracle are examining a Manhunter spaceship that was brought in by Aquaman when it opens and a metallic ball flies out.  It looks harmless, but they cannot catch it as it begins to fly around, and it lands on the face of a Chosen One (Janwillim Kroef) that they are supposed to be protecting. It attached itself to his head and begins to heat up. Beetle and Mister Miracle cannot get the ball off his face, nor can one of the Zamaron or one of the Guardians also present, but Kiliwog simply presses a button and it detaches itself.
