Story:
The story begins with the League trying to figure out how Maxwell Lord gained access to their HQ, how he duplicated one of their transmittors, and why he believes he can recruit new members. As thi is going on, Booster Gold, Dr. Light, and Maxwell Lord are forced to wait and see what the League's decision is concerning their affiliation with the group. While waiting, Max arrogantly reveals that he has some "master plan" for the group that seems to count on Booster and Light. Dr. Light becomes irritated with Max and storms out, quitting the team.Things to Watch:
Immediately following this, the League confronts Booster and Max, apparently not very interested in Booster as a member. He decided he doesn't wish to stay if not wanted and begins to leave. Just as he's leaving the compound, hounded by reporters, an attack on the compound is begun by the Royal Flush Gang.
In the resulting battle, Booster first takes on the gang on his own before the League comes to his aid. In the end, Booster proves to have been the key to defeating the villains and, because of his effectiveness in the battle, he is offered membership, which he accepts.
In the final panels, without consulting or notifying the League, Max announces himself to the crowd of reporters as the "official pres liaison of the newly-re-formed Justice League."
