Story:

        Continuing from last issue, this issue begins with Harjavti convincing the Silver Sorceress, Wandjina, and Bluejay to destroy the nuclear capabilities of the USSR. Meanwhile, the League is still hovering outside of Bialyan airspace in Blue Beetle's "Bug."
        As the three depart for the USSR, the League begins to follow then stops as they realize their destination and fear entering without warning. Eventually, they decide to proceed into Soviet airspace and the Rocket Red Brigade, the USSR's super-powered armored patrol, is sent to intercept them.
        As an altercation between the League and the Rocket Reds arises, a mysterious call is placed to General Secretary Gorbachev by Maxwell Lord and the Rocket Reds are ordered to allow the League entry to Soviet airspace.
        Meanwhile, as a result of trying to shut the core down too fast, a nuclear power facility heads toward a meltdown, and, as tensions between the Rocket Reds protecting the faclitity and the three off-worlders there to disable it build, Wandjina apparently sacrifices himself to stop the meltdown from happening. As the Rocket Reds begin to clean up the mess made by the strangers and the Silver Sorceress and Bluejay begin to mourn their comerad, the League is forced to leave. They return to their cave HQ to surprisingly find Maxwell Lord there announcing Booster Gold as their newest member...
