Story:
The League had arrived in Stone Ridge to find it transformed by the Gray Man into a form of physical "madness," as Mister Miracle puts it.The Gray Man's scheme is to transform the town, which he has already accomplished, using his "Gray selves" to steal the dream essance and feed it to him instead of Order. From Stone Ridge, his Gray selves will then spread throughout the country and the world, stilling all dream essance, putting mortals into a "greay sleep," and transforming everything into a "gray landscape."Things to Watch:
By now, he has already captured Dr. Fate and Captain Marvel, and as the League, accompanied by the Creeper enters the town, the Gray Man sends Captain Marvel, overtaken by gray sleep, to stop them. So now the League must battle one of their own. It comes down to a one-on-one between Marvel and J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter.
As this is going on, we see a meeting between Maxwell Lord and Hal Jordan the most well-known member of the Green Lantern Corps. During this short meeting, Jordan expresses his concern and doubt about Guy Gardner's involvement in the League and refers to some "big idea" of Max's, saying that, with Guy involved, it's sure to be screwed up.
Meanwhile, the fight between J'onn and Marvel has proved enough of a distraction to allow the League to find the Gray Man, and also to allow Dr. Fate to loosen the Gray Man's hold on him enough so that he can battle him. In the end, Fate reveals he had been holding out, trying to get through to the Gray Man, but when he sees that this is no longer possible, he very quickly and simply ends it. The building that he, the Gray Man, the Creepr, and most rest of the League is in disappears, leaving J'onn wondering what happened to them all and to take the fatigued Captain Marvel back to headquarters to recover.
