Story:

The new League begins to assemble in their cave headquarters. As the story begins, Guy Gardner is already there planning to take control of the League. Black Canary soon arrives, quickly followed by Mister Miracle with his manager, Oberon. Captain Marvel is next to arrive, soon follwed by the Martian Manhunter and Blue Beetle.
The group begins to banter about the huge assemblage of reporters crowded outside their HQ, and J'onn becomes somewhat cynical as to the need for publicity for this new League, hinting at the recently finished crisir in Legends, as well as the destructive and deadly end of the last incarnation of the League which he witnessed as a member. Guy soon tries to take control of the meeting and attempts to announce himself as group leader, which quickly leads to argument.
Dr. Fate and Batman soon arrive to find their new teammates already acting immature. Batman quickly ends it by simply telling Guy to "Sit down!" Batman quickly takes control and assumes leadership of the League.
Soon enough, the League is called in on their first job. A group of terrorists has taken the UN hostage, and the leader has a bomb strapped to his chest set to explode if his life should end. How they received a distress call from a League-issued transmittor when all members are present is a mystery (It is later revealed that Dr. Light is the one in possesion of the transmittor and is present at the UN), but they are soon on their way to handle the crisis.
It is soon clear that none of the team is entirely comfortable taking orders from Batman, but in the end he gets the job done. Batman somehow realizes the leader of the terrorists is bluffing and evacuates the building, leaving him there humiliated. He ends up committing suicide and the bomb never goes off. In the last panels, Maxwell Lord, a busines man of some type with a mysterious interest in the success of the League is linked to the terrorists, apparently supplying and even hiring them.
